General terms and conditions of service for Transportes Express Vitor Ferreira.

1. Scope and Definitions

These General Terms and Conditions ("GTC") govern all transport and logistics services provided by Transportes Express Vitor Ferreira ("Carrier", "we", "us") to customers ("Customer", "you"). By booking any service, you agree to these GTC.

2. Services

We provide road transport services including household removals, vehicle transport, parcel delivery and general freight across Europe, subject to the CMR Convention and German freight law (HGB §§ 407–475h) where applicable.

3. Quotation and Booking

Quotations are valid for 14 days. A booking is confirmed only upon written confirmation from us (email is sufficient). We reserve the right to decline any booking.

4. Prices and Payment

All prices are in Euros (€). If the actual cargo volume, weight or nature differs materially from what was declared, we reserve the right to adjust the price. Overdue invoices may attract statutory interest under German law.

5. Customer Obligations

The Customer is responsible for ensuring goods are properly packed and labelled; providing accurate addresses and contact details; being present at agreed collection and delivery times; and ensuring any vehicle to be transported is roadworthy with valid documentation.

6. Prohibited Items

The Customer must not tender for transport: firearms, explosives, illegal substances, perishable foodstuffs (without written agreement), live animals, or any item prohibited by applicable EU or national law.

7. Liability

Liability for cargo loss or damage is governed by the CMR Convention, limited to 8.33 SDR per kg. We carry mandatory CMR liability insurance. For high-value goods, additional all-risk insurance may be arranged at the Customer's cost.

8. Delivery and Delay

Delivery dates are estimates. We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our reasonable control (force majeure).

9. Claims

Claims for visible damage must be noted on the delivery receipt and confirmed in writing within 7 days. Claims for delay must be submitted within 21 days of delivery.

10. Cancellation

Free cancellation more than 48 hours before collection. Within 48 hours, a fee of up to 25% may apply. No-shows may be charged at the full price.

11. Data Protection

Personal data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the GDPR.

12. Governing Law

These GTC are governed by the laws of Germany. For commercial disputes, the courts of the Carrier's registered place of business apply. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the customer's country of residence always apply.

13. Severability

If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
